For non-German readers it all might sound a bit strange and almost unbelievable (just because the situation outside Germany is totally different….) but in Germany Depeche Mode are the most popular band (week after week there are big Depeche Mode-parties being organised there!), so synthpop is the big thing in clubs there…. And really if there is an other synthpopband coming out you can almost say without thinking: "They're from Germany!".

Newvember are making synthpop….and yes, they're Germans! What can I say? I mean, I'm hooked on 80's synthpop, I even like synths more than guitars, NewVember can write tunes like Blancmange used to write them, this really sounds like if "Dare" by The Human League is still in the charts (laugh as much as you want but a track like "The sound of the crowd" is a million times better than "I'm the real Slim Shandy"…!). Totally 80's, totally synthpop and totally good…
